A TORNADO BRIEFLY TOUCHED DOWN NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF SOUTHEASTERN AND IRVINGTON AVENUES…WHERE TREES AND POWERLINES WERE DOWNED. ADDITIONAL DAMAGE WAS FOUND TO THE NORTHEAST ON IRVINGTON AVENUE. A HOME SUSTAINED ROOF DAMAGE AND TWO AUTOMOBILES WERE STACKED ON TOP OF EACH OTHER. TWO TREES ON EITHER SIDE OF IRVINGTON AVENUE WERE BLOWN INWARDS TOWARDS EACH OTHER…BLOCKING THE ROAD JUST SOUTH OF HAWTHORNE LANE.

THE MOST EXTENSIVE DAMAGE WAS FOUND JUST NORTHEAST OF THIS AREA ALONG POMMEL COURT. TWO HOMES SUSTAINED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE. THE FIRST HOME HAD ITS GARAGE DOOR BLOWN INWARDS WITH THE GARAGE LIFTED SLIGHTLY OFF ITS FOUNDATION AND DAMAGE TO ITS ROOF. THE SECOND HOME ALSO SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO THE GARAGE DOOR…AND A GAZEBO ON THE PROPERTY WAS DESTROYED. A NEARBY TRAILER WAS TOSSED INTO A POND JUST NORTHEAST OF THE TWO HOMES. THE DAMAGE PATH ENDED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE POND WHERE A FEW ADDITIONAL TREES WERE KNOCKED DOWN.
