The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Freeze Warning, which is in effect from midnight tonight to 9 AM EDT Saturday. The Freeze warning replaces the Frost Advisory which is no longer in effect.

* TEMPERATURE…Low temperatures from 30 to 32 degrees.

* IMPACTS…Unprotected sensitive outdoor vegetation could be damaged by freezing temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR EASTERN MADISON…DELAWARE AND NORTHWESTERN HENRY COUNTIES UNTIL 345 PM EDT…

At 301 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Alexandria to 9 miles south of Anderson. Movement was northeast at 60 mph.

Dime size hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include…
Muncie, Anderson, Alexandria, Albany, Yorktown, Chesterfield, Eaton, Daleville, Gaston, Selma, Markleville and Ball State University.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
