…Band of Heavier Snow Will Impact Central Indiana This Evening…
A band of heavier snow will track across central Indiana through 9 PM. Expect rapid reductions in visibility to a quarter to half mile in some of the heavier snowfall. Light accumulations up to a half inch are possible this evening.
Travel will be increasingly impacted through the evening as temperatures fall through the 20s and into the teens. Pockets of light freezing drizzle falling ahead of the snow late this afternoon will create slick spots on roadways. The addition of the snow and rapidly falling temperatures will cause roads…bridges and overpasses to become icy through the evening.
Exercise caution if you plan on traveling late this afternoon and this evening. Allow extra time to reach your destination.
