* At 139 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over New Castle,
or 13 miles northwest of Cambridge City, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

New Castle, Sulphur Springs, Mooreland, Mount Summit and Summit

Warning for portions of the following rivers in central and western
Indiana…

Big Blue River…Wabash River…

.Lowland flooding has developed along the Big Blue River and will
develop along portions of the Wabash River in central and western
Indiana, respectively. One to three inches of rain fell in many
locations across the area…leading to a rise in river levels in
many area creeks…streams and rivers. Flooding will affect
some local and state roads…low agricultural land and some river
parks.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions…

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Southern Madison County in central Indiana…
Southern Delaware County in east central Indiana…
Northern Henry County in east central Indiana…
Hamilton County in central Indiana…
Southern Tipton County in central Indiana…

* Until 700 PM EDT

* At 355 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated clusters of thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Portions of
Hamilton…Madison and Delaware Counties have already received up
1 to 1.5 inches since 3 pm. With some of these areas also having
received 2 to 4 inches of rainfall on Thursday…flash flooding is
expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Muncie, Anderson, Fishers, Noblesville, New Castle, Westfield,
Yorktown, Cicero, Pendleton, Sheridan, Chesterfield, Ingalls,
Lapel, Edgewood, Arcadia, Daleville, Selma, Atlanta, Markleville
and Sulphur Springs.

This includes Interstate 69 between mile markers 210 and 239.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams.
Water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

* At 356 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Alexandria to near Noblesville, moving east at 45
mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.
