…The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Flood
Warning for portions of the following rivers in central and southern
Indiana…

Big Blue River…Fall Creek…White River…

.Lowland flooding is ongoing in rivers and streams in central and
southern Indiana. Significant flooding is not expected. Flooding will
affect some local and state roads…low agricultural land and some
river parks.

Much of Central Indiana had one to three inches of rain Friday with
locally higher amounts. This has led to smaller streams going into
flood stage and larger rivers to approach flood stage. Flooding is
ongoing along the Big Blue and Fall Creek and will begin later this
weekend along the White. Flooding of one to four feet above flood
stage is expected.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions…

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.

the Big Blue River at Carthage.
* until late tonight.
* At 6:45 AM Saturday the stage was 8.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast…The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
this evening.
* At 8.5 feet…A frequent high water level. This occurs about two or
three times a year. Local roads near the Big Blue River flood.
Water level enters dog houses in southern Carthage and affects used
auto parts yard in Carthage.

the White River at Spencer.
* from late tonight to Wednesday evening.
* At 6:30 AM Saturday the stage was 7.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast…Rise above flood stage by after midnight tomorrow and
continue to rise to near 16.9 feet by Monday early afternoon. The
river will fall below flood stage by Wednesday morning.
* At 17.0 feet…A few mobile homes located downstream of Spencer are
isolated because their driveway lanes flood. County Line Road on
north side of river has one foot of water and begins to flood in a
second place. Spencer Public Access extensively floods. North
Moon Road in very rural northwest Monroe County is flooded by the
White River.

* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast…Rise above flood stage by late Monday morning and
continue to rise to near 17.1 feet by early Wednesday morning. The
river will fall below flood stage by Thursday evening.
* At 17.5 feet…Flooding closes Old Vincennes Road. High water
crosses SR 358 on the Daviess County side just west of the levee.
Flooding begins to affect higher bottomlands. Residential property
of river cabins begins to flood.

miles west of New Castle, or 12 miles southeast of Anderson, moving
northeast at 10 mph.

Dime size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Markleville, Kennard, Wilkinson, Sulphur Springs, Mount Summit,
